Data logger with live tracking
ASPION has announced a new transport data logger with live tracking and long runtimes.
“The need for professional, digital solutions for shock and location monitoring is greater than ever in the industrial goods sector,” says Martina Wöhr, Managing Director of ASPION. “In particular, there is a strong upward trend in demand for solutions for real-time monitoring of goods in transit.”
The company says with the ASPION L-Track, it is introducing a new real-time data logger as an end-to-end solution that ensures global transportation monitoring of valuable capital goods. For the first time, the specialist in data loggers for shock monitoring are expanding its product portfolio with a 360-degree live tracking system “Made and Hosted in Germany”.
The company says the new ASPION L-Track can be used flexibly and is particularly suitable for monitoring high-value and sensitive capital goods in global, multimodal transport. Shippers from the mechanical and plant engineering sector, energy technology and numerous other industries can track the current location and condition of their high-value assets in real time and are alerted in the event of unusual occurrences. With the end-to-end solution consisting of smart sensors and a connected IoT platform, supply chain processes can be optimised, damage can be averted through proactive intervention and unnecessary costs are avoided. The ASPION L-Track also meets high industrial requirements when it comes to monitoring load carriers, rotating container management and other applications in the area of intralogistics.
ASPION says like all its data loggers, the new ASPION L-Track offers detailed and meaningful shock detection in milliseconds, providing conclusive evidence in the event of damage caused by improper handling. Global tracking in over 140 countries is carried out cellularly via mobile radio or accurate to the meter via GPS. Additional sensor values such as temperature, humidity, tilt and light are visualized in the easy-to-use ASPION Cloud.
“Based on the data logged with location and time stamp, it is possible to transparently trace where and how damage occurred,” says Wöhr.
The robust housing, about the size of a spectacle case, is suitable for prolonged use in harsh weather conditions. The energy-optimised mode of operation and replaceable standard batteries ensure sustainable and resource-saving long-term operation.
Trade fair visitors will be able to experience and order the ASPION L-Track live at LogiMAT (19 – 21.03.24, Stuttgart, Hall 8 Stand B11). The complete solution will be available from April 2024.
