“Data Streaming for SAP”
SNP, a leading provider of SAP-based software solutions for digital transformation processes, automated data migrations and data management in the SAP environment, announced at Snowflake’s annual user conference, Snowflake Summit 2023, the launch of Data Streaming for SAP, a Snowflake Native App on Snowflake Marketplace. Data Streaming for SAP enables organisations to integrate SAP data streams seamlessly and cost-effectively with Snowflake.
Snowflake, a Data Cloud company, announced that the Snowflake Native App Framework (public preview on AWS) is now available for developers to build and test apps natively in the Data Cloud with additional distribution and monetisation capabilities in public preview soon. Snowflake Native Apps are reported to usher in a new era of data collaboration, enabling developers with the tools needed to create robust apps quickly with Snowflake’s high availability and auto-scalability, all the while reducing security and procurement hurdles for customers because the apps run directly within the customers’ Snowflake accounts. Snowflake Marketplace says it already has over 25 new Snowflake Native Apps available today, and over one hundred providers are currently developing apps that span multiple industries and use cases.
“The Snowflake Native App Framework enables key partners like SNP to build in the Data Cloud with an entirely new type of app,” says Chris Child, Senior Director of Product Management, Snowflake. “SNP’s Data Streaming for SAP app will make it easier for organizations to integrate and get value from SAP data within their Snowflake accounts, while bringing efficiency and reducing data latency for customers.”
Gregor Stoeckler, SNP’s Chief Operating Officer, adds “We are thrilled to work in conjunction with Snowflake to incorporate the extensive SAP data expertise and features of our SNP Glue solution as a Snowflake Native App. It’s a true native Snowflake integration, and the beauty is that it also leverages a design that is mindful of optimizing data processing costs, which is beneficial to our joint customers.”
