What if you need a component that is yet to exist?

There is always a chance that you need a specific component that does not yet exist. In that case, it’s useful if you can easily develop such a component yourself, for your own specific needs. Therefore IXON is introducing the Component Software Development Kit (SDK).

Besides remote access, IXON offers countless possibilities to customise an IIoT platform for any business case. Users can choose from a vast library of pre-built components in the IXON Studio and create their own machine dashboards with the drag-and-drop editor.

The Component SDK ensures users are not limited to the component library in IXON Cloud. It allows them to create their custom component, so it’s exactly tailored to the kind of information they would want to show in their dashboards.These components are hosted in IXON Cloud, have a built-in versioning system and can be developed locally.

The development kit comes with a boilerplate, framework, templates, simulator app and deployment tools. This way, special components can easily be created:

• Download and install the Component SDK
• Program your custom component with e.g. VueJS, a javascript framework
• Test the component locally in the simulator
• Publish the component to your library in your IXON Cloud portal
• Add the component to your dashboard
